VOLUNTEER WITH US:

 To volunteer with your pet, certification must be obtained.  Volunteer opportunities currently exist for both dog and cat teams.  Certification evaluations may include the following types of situations:

·      Will the animal allow itself to be approached by a friendly stranger?

·      Can the owner keep the animal comfortably under control when moving through a crowd?

·      Will the animal accept a full body hug without resisting?

·      Would the animal be startled if a person nearby began yelling loudly?

·      Does the animal show curiosity rather than fear when faced with a dropped item or distraction?

·      Would the animal permit itself to be approached by someone using a walker or wheelchair?
