Wilbur Dubel

Wilbur is a 7 year-old male Newfoundland who is best described as a “gentle giant.” Wilbur has been a therapy dog for 4 years with certification from Therapy Dog Inc. (TDI) and is often referred to as “Big Will” by his patients. He was named Employee of the Season in 2005 while working with traumatic brain injury patients at a neurological rehab center in Michigan. His owner, Ridgely Dubel, a physical therapist, included Wilbur in the therapy sessions. Since moving to NC, Wilbur has joined Paws with a Purpose and works at Jones Elementary School in the reading program.
