Chessie Hardin

Chessie, is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen (aka PBGV) and was born blind. She is named after the late William Chester Brannan, MD. Thinking we would have another male Basset Hound, naming our next dog Chester would be a way to honor Dr. Brannan. But no one wanted the blind PBGV and we adopted her when she was just 12 weeks old. To fulfill our promise, Chester became Chessie. Despite her disability, she is a very confident dog who wins most people over in a matter of seconds! Chessie enjoys long walks, chasing squirrels and playing “keep away”. She also likes a good nap and a tasty snack. Chessie hopes to meet you soon!
