Meet Jim Lawrence

At Gardner-Webb, Jim’s areas of expertise include video production,
film, scriptwriting and theatre. He has directed two major student
produced movies, THE LEGACY and THE ATONEMENT .
Jim worked a number of years in the Los Angeles film and television
industries. He is a member of both the Writers and Directors Guilds and
has written several 2-hour movies for network television: "Child of
Glass" and "The Sky Trap" for Walt Disney Productions and "Missing
Children: A Mother's Story" for Warner Bros./CBS. He also wrote and
directed "Truce In The Forest," a multiple-award-winning Christmas
film. He has also been active in the theatre, directing plays for the
Downey Civic Light Opera, Whittier-La Mirada Civic Light Opera, Burbank
Civic Light Opera, and Asheville Community Theatre. Jim has produced
the “Paws” DVD and has taken hundreds of digital photographs for the
organization. His photos are featured in the annual “Paws” calendar as
well as on bookmarks, greeting cards and other specialty items.
