Paws on Parade 2010
Saturday, May 22, 2010 brought sunny skies and nearly 70 walkers and 55 dogs to Paws on Parade 2010 at Carrier Park for our annual walkathon. The event was filled with wagging tails and smiling faces, and our Paws friends and volunteers raised over $6,000! Top Fundraisers included: Kay Loveland, Don Smith, and Darlene Colmar. Many Thanks to our volunteers, friends, and donors, and to Upstate Veterinary Specialist, Three Dog Bakery, and Kohl's Department Store for their support!
Luck of the Paws
Over 100 folks attended the "Luck of the Paws" Wine Tasting and Silent Auction hosted by Appalachian Vintner on March 19th raising more than $3,000 for Paws with a Purpose pet therapy programs! A BIG thank you to all who supported this event!
Kohl's Care for Kids Tricks and Treats Party
Paws with a Purpose volunteers, Kohl's department store associates, hospital staff and Paws supporters enjoyed a hauntingly good time as the Mission Healthcare Foundation hosted a puppy-lovin' "Tricks and Treats" party on October 13th at the Reuter Children's Outpatient Center. Therapy dogs showed off their best tricks while parading in their costumes in celebration of receipt of our fourth Kohl's Cares for Kids grant.
Paws on the Patio
Mission Healthcare Foundation hosted Paws On the Patio on the Owen Heart Center Terrace at Mission Hospital on July 14 to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of Mission's Pet Therapy Program.
Paws on Parade 2009
On June 6th, 2009 nearly one hundred walkers, over eighty dogs and more than two hundred donors raised over $5,000 for Paws with a Purpose!!

A celebration of Kohl's continued support was held at the Reuter Children's Outpatient Center of Mission Hospitals on Tuesday, September 23, 2008.
Asheville New Friends--March 10, 2008
Paws with a Purpose was invited to the March 10th monthly meeting of Asheville New Friends in the fellowship hall of the Grace United Methodist Church.
Mission Healthcare Foundation Luncheon--March 7, 2008
Over seventy volunteers and friends of Paws with a Purpose attended a luncheon hosted by the Mission Healthcare Foundation on March 7th at Deerfield Retirement Community.
Basset Bash Founder's Day Party--June 28, 2008
This year's Bash was held at the Fireman's Camp located on the French Broad river on Saturday, June 28th. The over 100 two and four legged guests attending had a blast and some enjoyed a splash at the bash!
